Evan Ayres and The Swing Kings are one of Perth’s most exciting swing jazz bands, bringing high-energy live swing music and vintage charm to events across Western Australia. Fronted by jazz vocalist Evan Ayres, this group delivers a crowd-pleasing mix of Swing Jazz classics, Michael Bublé favourites, Fred Astaire-era hits, plus original songs written by Evan — with a few rock ’n’ roll and country-inspired tunes thrown in for extra fun.
After relocating from Albany to Perth in 2020 to study a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Vocals at WAAPA), Evan quickly became known for his authentic swing sound and strong stage presence. Prior to Perth, he led an eight-piece swing band in Albany, recording an EP of originals and selling out The Albany Port Theatre six times — each show selling out within hours of tickets going live.
