Daniel Connell could easily be described as the ideal Aussie comedian — affable, loveable and seriously hilarious. His observational, dry and often unanticipated comedy has seen him perform all over Australia, as well as in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Scotland.
After moving to Melbourne in 2010, Daniel quickly established himself on the comedy scene. In 2011 he was hand-picked for The Comedy Zone at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), spotlighting the country’s best emerging comedians.
Since then, Daniel has written and performed a brand-new hour of stand-up at 10 consecutive MICF festivals, taking each show to every major Australian comedy festival. He has also made multiple TV appearances, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (2017, 2019, 2021 & 2024), Comedy Up Late (2018), and the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow (2022).
In 2023, Daniel embarked on his first national tour with his sell-out show I’m Always Sore, travelling right around Australia. In 2024 he returns with his new hour, Little Aussie Battler, touring festivals and major theatres nationwide.
