Raised in Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Brooke studied journalism at the University of Technology Sydney before beginning her career at SBS and NITV. Beyond television, Brooke has been a strong advocate for equity and opportunity in education and media. She has worked closely with the GO Foundation, supported Indigenous initiatives at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and become a sought-after speaker and MC. In 2024, she broadened her scope even further, commencing a Master of Public Policy at Oxford University, cementing her role as a leader in shaping conversations about culture, representation and social change.
Brooke is also an author — her book All Of It explores her personal story, career, and the challenges of navigating identity in public life. She has been profiled in major media outlets and celebrated in the arts, including being the subject of a portrait shortlisted for the 2022 Archibald Prize.
With her mix of charisma, intelligence and cultural pride, Brooke Boney continues to influence the national conversation, using her platform to champion inclusion, diversity and meaningful change.
